We do not require an adult signature for deliveries, but please note that the decision to leave your package without a signature is at the discretion of the delivery person. The photo on the web page is not an accurate representation as it does not show the heavy electrical cord coming out of the bottom of the globe (not the base but the globe itself). This location results in the cord being very visible, restricts the placement of the globe and detracts from the appearance of the globe. We were pleased with the globe itself though and it is very attractive lighted at night.[...]Would not have purchased it had we known about the electrical cord. We like a lighted globe but would have looked for one with a battery operated light instead
